Unit 12 IT Technical Support M1


M1 – Discuss the importance of keeping fault logs

Fault logs
Fault log is when you record your faults in a report and it is then used if the problem reoccurs again.  You record what the problem is, how and when it happened, what the diagnosis you took is and more questions for different logs.  Fault log are really helpful for us because in hackney technology college mostly all the rooms have computers in them which means that all the computers will have a same fault occurring.  By having a fault log, it is easier for us to fix the fault because we have dealt with the problem before and have recorded it in a fault log.  Faults are taken from emails, call or in person and it’s recorded in a paper or electronic.  By using the fault log, it will be efficient and will tell you what you have done to solve the problem.  This always works for us because if the fault in the college continuously occurs every time and we just look at the fault log to fix it quickly.  It’s important that you record the fault detail in the fault log because when you try to use the report again, you need to be able to understand what the report says.  It will confuse the person that is using the report and may understand it in a wrong way which makes more problems.







The picture shows an example of a fault log which is being used to record a fault.  As you can see, there is a lot of information that needs to be record in the fault log so that it helps in the future if you have the same problem occurred.  First, you will need to record the details about the user: name, company and such.  Next, you will need to explain the problem by describing what happened when you were trying to solve the problem.  In the next box, you will need to describe what action you have taken when you were trying to fix the problem.  Even if you didn’t solve the problem, you still need to record what action you have taken and finally you retest to check if it works properly.  There are variety of fault log for different business or organisation because some may only want to focus on specific information by asking only a few number of question however some other people will want all the information about the fault in detail so different reason.


How fault log is been used for keeping record of new and old equipment’s. 
fault logs is also used for keeping records on new or old equipment which makes it easier to check if the computer is really helping you or not.  Some computer can be fixed but it will take a lot of time and money to do that.  Every time you record the computer into your fault log, you can see if it takes a lot of money because it is cheap to replace the computer than fixing it which will save money.  You can check if you old computer are worth keeping by checking the fault log to see If it takes a lot of your time and money.  If it does, you can replace it for a new one so that your worker can work properly and without any disruption.  If you got a new computer, you are able to check if there is any problem that is been occurred often which helps you to focus on that computer than others.

Check if your workers are doing their job properly
If you are the manager in a business or an organisation, you can use the fault log to check if your employees are doing their job.  It's very useful for a person who is in charge of the place because they won’t know if their workers are doing a good job with the problem.  You can check if the problem has been solved which indicates that the employees are doing their job properly.  If you work in a business or an organisation, you need give the fault log to your employer so they know that you have done your job even if you didn’t solve the fault

Solutions database

Solutions database is commercial software that is used by business and organisation.  It stores all the faults and organises them for you.  It stores system faults and how they can be solved which is really useful for us because we just need to type in the error code or messages or keyword into the search bar and then it display any solution for it.  It shows you, what might cause the problem and any remedies that can be used to fix it.  We can also submit our own fault into the program which lets other people who have the software to use our method of solving the problem.  This makes the software to have a huge database with solution to various faults and it is useful to people who have doubt on difficult problems.

Unit 12 IT Technical Support P1

P1 Explain the tools and technical used for technical support
I am going to be explaining about the tool and technical those are used for technical support and give some example on how they are used by me or my colleagues in the college to provide technical support.
Tools
WINVNC
In Hackey technology college, there are a lot of computer systems that need to be maintained and if you want to update or Install a new software, you can’t just go to all the computer system because it’s going to be time consuming also will disrupt the classes.
 We use software that is commonly on all the computer system in the college which is WINVNC. WINVNC stand for Windows virtual network computing and it is used for connecting and interacting with a windows computer system using a another windows computer.  This software helps to configure the computer system from a different location which means that you don’t need to be next to the computer system to configure also saving a lot of time.  You are able to add, edit and delete data on the computer also you are able to configure the setting of the computer.  You can do all the things that are normally done by other users such as browse the web, use software application and many more with your own mouse and keyboard.  This software saves us a lot of time for installing new software or upgrading existing software and it’s all done in our technical support room in the college.  There is a lot of computer in the college which is windows operating system so WINVNC makes it easier to deal with the problem and we don’t need to travel to every computer in the college. You can use WINVNC by going to you control panel and can be configured into the way you want.


Google
The technology keeps growing and it’s hard to keep up with latest gadgets and technology.  I and my colleague don’t know all the solution to the problem we face and the one diagnostic that we all use to find solution is Google search engine.  Everyone will think that Google is only used for shopping, information and etc. but you can also use Google for solving your problems that is difficult for you.  You can use Google for finding what different error codes means; find a solution for a problem by looking at other user who had the same problem and any other information that you want to know.  Lots of people submit their fault logs which you can use if the same problem happens to you.  We technicians in hackney technology college use Google often because newer problem keep coming because of student that use the computer system and the teacher.  For example: I was trying to solve a problem which showed ‘error 404’ and I didn’t know what that meant so I went to Google for the information.  I found out that 404 means that you the client is unable to communicate with the given.  This saves a lot of time and effort to search for the answer I needed.


Control panel
Control panel is a windows operating system  tool that is commonly used by many users and it’s really helpful for us because it lets us use the advanced setting which can be used to control and modify the computer.  There are a lot of settings that comes with control panel which lets you customization your computer the way you want, you can access control from your start menu and click control panel.  You can change the appearance of your computer by changing the background, change the user interface and more.  Control panel lets you add or remove program from your computer also with hardware; can modify the mouse and keyboard; modify the sound settings and can make the computer do automatic updates when they are available. You can even create a user account in your computer which creates a separate account where only your work will be saved and can put password to be secure.


MyDefrag
 MyDefrag is used for defragment and optimizing for your hard disk, USB disk, memory stick and more.  Files in your computer are split into small files and are in different location of your hard disk which makes the computer slow down when it tries to find the files.  When you want to open the file, it will take some amount of time to find it because the file is in different and the hard disk goes to all the places to collect each of the small pieces.  but by using defragmentation, all the small piece are put together into one file which makes it quicker to access the file also making your computer run faster.  Optimization is used to organise all the files in your hard disk into one place for you to see so you don’t need to look the files in different places.

Techniques
Direct questioning
When you are trying to help a user from the other end of a phone call, you need to know what you are going to ask for.  If you ask question that gets to the problem, you need don’t need to ask more question and fix the problem quickly so that the user will be happy the service.  Direct questioning is when you ask specific questions for gathering information and understand the problem quickly by spending less time asking questions to the user.  This is an important technique which helps a lot of workers like IT technician, engineer and etc.  By asking the necessary question, it will make you sure that the user understands the problem they have.  You can use a guide which will have a list of questions in order, you can use these questions to get the important information you need about the problem that the user have.  For example: In hackney technology college, we get calls or emails from the teachers who happen to have a problem with their technologies.  We don’t straight away do to the teacher but we ask a series of questions that will tell us what might be the problem and because of this, we do not waste any time and gets to the problem quickly.  We have software that is installed on the college computers which helps teacher to write their fault and it’s sends to us which are quicker than calling.  The entire questions are listed in the software which should be answered by the teachers.

Open question
Open question is questions that will require a detailed answers and it’s used to get important information.  If you ask a question like this ‘what can you see on your screen?’ there is a lot of possibility for different answer.  By asking specific question, you are able to control how much information you will get from the question and this makes it easier for you to collect information from the user.

Closed question
Closed question are questions that only have limit answer such as Yes or No which gets straight to the answer.  Question like ‘is your screen blue?’ can only be answered with a yes or no and makes it easier for you to figure out the problem.

Probing question

Probing question are questions which are used to clarify information that has been said by the other person who is answering the question.  The purpose for using probing question is to find out the purpose of an answer that the other persons said which is not clear.  By asking ‘why did you say that?’ it tells the other person to say it again more detail so that we can understand what they were talking about before.  You can also use probing question to find out if the user is in the same topic has you so that you don’t go off-topic (is this anything to do with the fault?).  ‘Is that all?’ can be used when you finishing asking question to check that you have gotten all the right information from the user.

P2: Explain the impact of organisational policies and procedures on the provision of technical support

Policy is a set of rules and guideline that need to be follow by the organisation also it tells how you should run your organisation; how you need to treat you worker and employers; how the organisation need to run their service and etc…  . Policy has short sentences and it gets the point across clearly.

Procedures are a set rules and guideline that describes the policy that you have in your organisation. It explains how each of your policies will be used in your organisation; what steps is needed to be taken with the policy; which person is going to follow that policy and why and what format the documents need to be used. Procedures explains the policies in detail 

Organisational guidelines
In technical support, there is a lot of guideline that you need to follow for different tasks. Organisational guidelines have a large impact on technical support because for different activities and tasks, you will have different guidelines. By following the Organisational guidelines, it will have a positive impact on the provision of technical support because it will reduce the problem from happening which will benefit the company. The company will have will have extra time and money if they follow the Organisational guidelines correctly.

The use of internet: this is one of the policies that are being used on most companies. When you are using the internet, you should only be using it for work purpose and nothing else. You shouldn’t use the internet for entertainment or personal reasons and I you don’t follow these rules; you may lose your job or lose some salary. The misuse of internet is breaking the policy of your company and it will have a negative impact on the person because they will lose their job or lose some salary. The company will lose a lot of workers if the people misuse the internet which is bad for the company

Reporting faults is really important in technical support because if you report the fault quicker, the technical support team will have a lot of time to fix it. Reporting faults has positive impact on provision of technical support because if you get the faults reported quicker, the technical support team will have a longer time to fix the problem which will satisfy the customer. It also helps you to prioritize which task is more important than others which will and leave the least importance for later.

Service level agreements – this has a large impact on technical support because you and customer need to have a good relationship and both of you have to do what you have promised to do. Service level agreements have a positive impact on technical support because both people will know what they agreed to do and what will happen if they don’t. The contract makes a good relationship between the company and the technical support also they will trust each other on what they agreed to do. This means that the technical support will do their work properly and in the time they said they will also the customer will pay for the job.



Confidentiality and sensitivity of Information – confidentiality has a big impact on provision of technical support because you have agreed to keep your customers information safe and if you do not keep it safe, you will be fine or you need to go to court. It also has positive impact on the provision of technical support because it will keep the information safe from being stolen or uploaded to the internet. Some of the information that a company have will give them an edge in their business so if it gets stolen or uploaded to the internet, the company will lose on a lot of money. The technical support people need to keep their customers personal details because other people can use your customers identify for crimes and for other malicious activity. If you let your customer details leaked to the internet or stolen, it will have a negative impact on the provision of technical support because they customer would not trust you anymore and they will fine you or sue you. This also means that you will get less or no customer and you will have to stop providing technical support. The company needs to give the specific information that they need to do their work and nothing else.

Costs of resource required – All organisations will have a budget which will determine how much money they can spend on the organisation. Organisations that are related to IT will have a bigger budget because they will need maintain, repair and replace the computer system that they have which will cost them a lot of money and time. This has both positive and negative impact on the provision of technical support. The positive impact is if the organisation has a bigger budget, they don’t need to worry about repairing a computer system if it gets broken because nowadays it is much cheaper to replace a computer system if you have a bigger budget and it will save them a lot of time and money which is useful for an organisation. They can use the extra time for other important tasks which will benefit them greatly. If the technical support people have a higher budget, they can have a better range of software’s and tools that will help them to do their work much faster than with no tools. The customer will want them to fix their problem if they like the service. The negative impact will be that it will take you a lot of time to fix your customers problem and they won’t choose you anymore which will mean that you will lose of profit and may have to close your business. In an organisation, they is direct and indirect costs and you will need to manage you budget so that you do not get into trouble. The more budget you have, the productive there will be.

User expertise – when it comes to technical support if you have a lot of knowledge on it, you will have a lot of time to fix the problem but if you don’t, you will have to research for the problem yourself which will waste a lot of time. This has a positive impact on provision on technical support because the person that is fixing the problem has knowledge on the topic; it will take them less time to fix it. This will make the customer happy and they will come to you a lot more times if they have a problem with the computers. There is also negative impact on provision of technical support because if you don’t trained your staff, they will take a lot of time to try fixing the computer system which will bring bad reputation to the company and other customer will not come to you anymore. Having a well trained staff that ha knowledge on different things will benefit the company because they don’t need to ask for help all the time and need less supervision.

M2 Explain the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing technical support
What is outsourcing?
Outsourcing  is when you get the source that you need from outside of your company. Companies and organisations will pay other companies that provides specific services which they cant do it themselves. There is different types of outsourcing for example (recycling your computer components or email service) .

What is the advantage of outsourcing?
•      Firstly, if your company doesn’t have the specific skills that is needed to do the work, they can ask other companies that provide the service. they will do the work for you if you pay a specific amount of fee. They can help with jobs that are harder to do yourself like managing your network or simple as organising your files and documents. Outsourcing will save a lot of time because you don’t need to search for people and the work will be done by a professional. 

•      Secondly, it is cheaper to do outsourcing over the seas than in the country because they will do your work for a less amount of money. You can less your computer system or any device to other countries like France or china and they will do it for less amount of money because of the differences in currency. For example: if you are a big organisation that has a lot of computer to be repaired, it is much cheaper to fix them I you send it to a Asian country because they will charge you less money for their service. the organisation can send the computer system to the technical who is in Asia and he will fix it then send it back.

•     Thirdly, if the company uses outsourcing for some of their work, they will have extra time to do other tasks that are important at the moment. This will relieve stress on the workers and the company will run smoothly without any heath problem or technical problems. Jobs like network administrator will be stressful and have a help from outside will make it easier on your company. You can give them instruction on how to run the network, maintain and etc…
        Your will focus on the most important at the moment and leave the rest to the people that you paid for the service. 

What is the disadvantage of outsourcing? 
•     Firstly, some of the outsourcing services that you have will not be close to your company so it may take a lot of time to deliver and repair the computer system or devices. Mostly all outsourcing service that are related to IT will be further away from your company, you will have to call the service provider to pick up the system that you want them to check for problems and then they will fix the system for a fee or leave the system if they can’t fix it. But it will take weeks to fix the computers because they have other things to do so you will need to make your customers wait until you get the hardware.

•     Secondly, if you outsource your work overseas, there will be a time differences which will be a disadvantage because you will have difficulties communicating with the service provider.  For example: if you are in uk and you have send your systems to new York for repair, there will be 7 to 9 hours differences which means that you will need to call them in the night if you want to communicate with them.

•    Thirdly, if you get your service from overseas like china, you will have difficulties with languages because they speak a different language from yours. There is a language barrier between the company and the service provider and it will be difficult to ask for a specific help tat you want from them. You will have less option on service providers that are overseas if you don’t know their language. If you speak English, you can get help from these countries like USA, UK, Canadian and etc.

unit 1 - Communication and Employability Skills for IT P3/M1

P3 and M1
Barrier is when is when something or someone is giving in the way of a conversation. This make it very hard to communicate with the other person and there are a lot of different barriers.

General communication skill

Language differences

Language is a big barrier to communication because not all people speak the same language as us. If one person is from England and another person is from France, they will have a hard time to communicate because both people speak different language and it is difficult to communicate properly. They are different languages that we use like technical language which only the people who understand computers can understand and people who are less good with technology will not understand what you are talking about. You can reduce this from happening by looking for people who speaking the same language has you so that you can communicate better. You can also look for a translator that will translate what the other person is saying and a lot of companies use translator. You can also use google translator to translate the language for you.

Cultural differences

People around the world have different cultural and when people who have different culture differences, it will be harder for them to communicate with others because something in the first person culture may be something else for the second person’s culture. Different cultures have different barrier because different religious have different meaning to something. Two people who have different culture differences will have a harder time to communicate because they have different beliefs and different opinion. You can reduce this from happening by learning more about the other person’s culture and you will know what to say when you are talking to them. They can also learn your culture so that it will be easier to communicate with each other.
  

Interpersonal skills

Background noise

This is a barrier to effective communication and you will see this in a lot of places like a busy market, busy office or anywhere that has a lot of people who are talking in the background. When you two people speaking to each other’s, it will be harder for them to communicate properly if there is a lot of background noise because they need to higher their voice so that they can talk to each other. It is will be harder to communicate when you can’t even hear your own voice and there is a lot of different background noise such as someone who talks on the phone loudly, traffic noise and many more. You can reduce this from happening by asking the person that is being loud to quiet down however if the background noise is coming from a lot of people, you should go to a different place to talk with that person you are with. Choose a quiet place somewhere to star the conversation.

Body language
This is another barrier to effective communication and body language is important in effective communication. When you are speaking with another person, it is important that you have a good body language because if you don’t have a good body language when they are speaking, they will know that you are not listening to them also they will think that you don’t care about them. if you are using bad body language, the other person will have a harder time communicating with you because it is uncomfortable for them and they will misunderstand what you are thinking about them. Bad body language can lead to people being confused and they will not be interested in talking to you again. You can reduce this from happening by having a good body language which you can do by standing up straight and don’t play with your hands when you are talking to someone. Use hand gesture and have eye contact. Don’t bend your head down in a conversation.

  
Communicating in writing

Spelling and grammar

Spelling and grammar is barrier to effective communication because if you don’t use the right spelling and grammar, the other person that is reading will not understand what you are trying to tell them. If have a work that you want to give it to someone, it is important that you proofread the work for any spelling and grammar mistakes because you don’t want the other person to misunderstand your work. If you are having a hard time find the mistakes yourself, you can ask some to proofread for you and then you can fix the mistakes. To can reduce this from happening by using the spelling and grammar tool on your word application. It will correct mostly all the mistakes in your document however if you are writing in a paper, ask someone to proofread it for you.

Structure

Structure is another barrier to effective communication. When you are writing, it is important that you have good structure because the person that is reading the work will not understand and they will get confused on what you are talking about. If you don’t have a good structure in your writing, other people that read the writing will have a harder time with figuring out where the different topics are. If you don’t have a good   structure in your writing, people will not want to read your work anymore because it will look boring to read.

You can reduce this from happening by using some short sentence and some complex sentence also have a paragraph for each topic that you are talking about so that the other people can read without any problem. You can also put heading for the work you are doing so people know what they are reading about.

P2 - explain the principles of effective communication

General skills
These skills are important when you want to effectively communicate with others

Cultural differences
Cultural differences are when people talk in different language and have different belief which is not same as each other. This can cause a lot of problem in a workplace because if one person one language and another person speak a different language will have difficulty with communication. Your customer can’t communicate with your employees because they speak a different language from you. With the different language they speak, they also have a different culture from you will misunderstand them when they are speaking you. If both people speak similar language and have the similar belief, you can communicate with them a lot better and it makes it easier to understand each other.
Use of technology

In this modern day, technology is part of our life and everyone uses it to communicate with others. Technology make it easier to communicate with other people and there are many way that you can use technology our help with communication. You can PowerPoint presentation and use them to present your ideas or work. You can easily get your point across to everyone when you use a PowerPoint presentation because you don’t need to tell them everything about your work and they can learn a lot from looking at your presentation. When you are in a meeting, you can use PowerPoint presentation to present your idea and you won’t stress because you will have less thing to explain because of the PowerPoint presentation.

Accuracy

When you are trying to get your point across clearly to other people, you need communicate accurately because if you speak to your audience accurately, they will enjoy your speech also they will know the message that you are trying to tell them. We don’t have a good attention span and if someone talks too much, we will be losing in our thought. If you keep your speech accurately, you will finish the speech quickly and everyone will understand what you are trying to talk about.       
    
Question and Answer

Question and answer (Q&A) is used to get specific information from another person and it is an effective way to communicate. By using question and answer, you are able to gain information that you want from another person and you don’t need to have a long conversation to get the information you want. It is straight forward and you get the answer you need. For example: when you are interviewing someone, you can ask specific questions about them which will be the effective way of knowing what the person can offer you. Using question and answer, you will get all the information that you need about them and you don’t need to waste your time.

Interpersonal skills
These skills are important when you are communicating with other people and you can also to use these skills in a group. Employers will try to hire people to do work and will always look for people who have interpersonal skills

Open and close question

When you are trying to get information from another person, it is important that you choose the right question because you can get a lot of information from just asking one question. If you are an interviewer and you are interviewing others, it is important that you know what type of question is need to be asked. If you want a simple answer and nothing else, you can ask close question. Close question can only be answered with yes or no and you can get answers to your question quickly. You don’t need to speak for a long time and you can questions like ‘do you know HTML?’ which then can be answered with yes or no. Open questions are asked when you want a lot of information from them. You can use open questions to get more detailed information from them and it is important that you use open question mostly because they conversation will go on long and you will know more about the people. Open questions can be like this ‘why should I pick you for the job?’ and then they can answer with an explanation about why they should be picked for the job.

Positive/negative language

It is important that you change your tone of voice and your language in different situation because you need to make sure that you message isn’t misunderstood. When you are in a situation where you are angry, you need to speak in a higher tone and negative language because you are show the other person that you are angry. If the situation you are in is a positive one, you need to use positive language and middle tone so that they know that you are not angry and you are happy. This will make sure that the other person you are talking isn’t misunderstanding your message.

Nodding

Nodding is very important when you are in a conversation because the other person you are talking to will know that you understand when you are nodding to what they are saying. When you nodding to the other person you are talking to, they will know that you are listening to them and they will be sure that you know what they are talking about. When you are in an interview, nodding is very important because the employer will know that you understand what he is talking about and he will also know that you are a good listener.

Communicating in writing

‘Smileys’ or emoticons

When you are writing in your phones, it is important that you do not use emoticons when you are talking to someone professional. It is a lot easier to use these emoticons because it send the message across easily but when you are talking to someone professional, it is important that you use proper English. Emoticons are like slang language and shouldn’t be used in professional situation. When you are messaging your employer, you should not use emoticons to talk but you need to use proper English.

Spelling and grammar

When you are writing to someone professional or anyone you respect, it is important that you use the right word and grammar and don’t spell the word wrong. Using the right spelling and grammar in your writing will make you look professional and you are more likely to be picked for a job. If you writing a letter for a job, make sure that you use the right spelling for the word and use the proper grammar so that they can understand what you are trying to say to them.

Proofreading your writing

If you have written something that you are going to send to someone, it is important that you proofread your work. If you have a lot of mistake and poor grammar, you will look less professional and employer will not pick you for the job. Make sure that you proofread anything that you write because you can find a lot of mistake that you didn’t see before. If you’re proofreading your work, people that will read the work will be less confused and they understand the work a lot better. They don’t need to correct the mistakes for you.

  •             Comfortable with handcoding HTML/CSS or HTML5/CSS3
  •              self motivated
  •             work under pressure with a team
  •             time management
  •             enthusiastic
  •             able to use adobe CS5 suite, photoshop/dreamweaver.


If you want to be a web designer, these are the requirement that you will need:

Specific skill
This technical skill is needed for every job that you do. Techincal knowledge means that you need to have knowledge on a specfic field that related to your job. You need to be able to perform specfic tasks that relates to your job and have knowledge on it. For example: if you are working as a web desginer, you will need to have knowledge of computer lanaguage like HTML,CSS and etc which is really important in these jobs. Web desginer definitely needs to have knowledge on computer language because you will need to know how to wrtie progamming language which isn’t easy to do. For web designer, you will need to have strong knowledge on CSS/HTML which is really important. without computer language like HTML/CSS and more, you won't be able to create any website.

If you want to be a web designer, you need to have knowledge on Adobe CS5 suite which has a lot of application software that helps with creating a website. You will need to need to know how to use dreamweaver which is used for creating website; you will need to know how to use photoshop which is used for creating graphical images also firework which is another for image editing. Without the knowledge of these software, you won't be able to create a website. You will need this skill because websites contains images. animations, text and other thing which need to be created from adobe CS5 suite.

General attribute
Time management is one of the attributes that you will need for web designer or any other job that you do. Time management is the way that you plan and organize you time to do specific task. Time management is important for any job because you will have a lot of work and less time to do your work  so you will need to know how to manage your time efficiently to accomplish your work. If you plan your time perfectly, you will have less stress, increase productive and time efficiently. Web designer will need to have time management because they will be given a lot of work and less time to do them so by planning your time, you will finish it faster also have more time to do other thing. If you don’t have time management, you will have a lot of problem. You will miss you deadline, your work will be low quality and a lot of stress.
Teamwork is when you work with a group of people to accomplish something. Teamwork is really important in any job because you can complete a task much faster and efficient when you work as a team than working yourself. Some companies will have a group of people who will be creating a website so if you are a web designer, you will need to know how to work as a team to finish the work. The quality of the work will be much better if you work as a team than working yourself. If you are a web designer and you work in a team, you will get a lot of ideas for your project, it's efficient and much faster.

Personal attribute
If you are Enthusiastic, it means that you are interested and you enjoy doing the job. You will act and behave a different way when you do the job like  excited. This personal attribute is important because not all the job that you do is going to be fun and some work may be stressful. Web designer need to be enthusiastic because you will need to do a lot of work like creating new design or new graphical image and this will be stressful so it you are enthusiastic, it will make it easier for you to do your work also the people around you doesn’t need to look at your stressful face. If you are enthusiastic, your work will look much easier to do and around you will enjoy working with you.
Independent is when you do the work by yourself without being constantly supervised and this is really important if it’s a busy job because you will be wasting time by asking for help every time you get a problem. If you work in a company and your manager is giving you a work, you should be finish when he comes back. Web designers need to be able to work independently because there will be a lot of work to do and less time to do them so if you do the work that has been given you with less supervision or no supervision, it will save a lot of time to do other work also you won't annoy the person that is supervising you
